PCMC promises action against guilty officials in shoes purchase irregularities

The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) on Monday assured a Shiv Sena delegation that action will be initiated against the civic officials who were allegedly involved in the irregularities in purchase of school stationery items.

Prakash Kadam, additional commissioner, PCMC, told Sena MP Gajanan Babar, who led the delegation of corporators and senior members of Sena, BJP and the Republican Party of India (Athavale group), "

"PCMC is taking action in two parts. Assistant commissioner, administration department, PCMC, will take action against the officials who committed the irregularities. Education officer, secondary education department, PCMC, will take action against the contractor who supplied the material. The civic administration has blacklisted the contractor and will ensure that he does not take part in the bidding process of study items."
