Father abandoned drugs, 4-year-old son in car while fleeing officers

Authorities say a man abandoned his drugs, his 4-year-old son and his shoes while fleeing authorities.

Monroe County Sheriff's spokeswoman Allison Selman-Willis said 31-year-old Kevin Maurice Robertson "ran straight out of his shoes" during the Friday incident. He was caught near the Monroe County jail not long after an officer pulled him over on Interstate 75.
